Casa Grenadino
(the House of the Pomegranate Tree)

Casa Grenadino has been lovingly rebuilt using local sourced, reclaimed materials, retaining and in some places enhancing the original character of the house. It took a while to get the builders to grasp the fact that reinstating the original kinks and curves in the walls was what was required.

The house is one of the few to have modern heating throughout, with most rooms having fully operational, original olive wood fires. The interior has been furnished with a mix of Old Spanish and Moorish elements (Not Swedish Superstore) lending the house an air of the truly exotic.

Casa Grenadino sleeps 6 in luxury with 10 at a push. Because of the design of the house there are still plenty of private spaces, especially in La Cuadra (the perfectly proportioned ex mule house, that can be attached or annexed from the main building).

Grenadino is owned by a second generation of chefs. The kitchen lacks for nothing with fresh herbs growing abundantly around the courtyard in the shade of lemon, olive and pomegranite trees. Breakfast, lunch or dinner eaten at the old Moroccan mosaic table under the pomegranate tree will never be forgotten.

There is also a beautiful plunge pool that is the perfect place to cool off after a day in the Andalucian sun (a larger swimming pool is being constructed this winter).
